Create an editable .docx file from your text. It opens in Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and Pages.
Your Word file is created on your device and never uploaded.
How to use the text to Word converter
- Type or paste your text, or open a .txt file.
- Pick the font, size, page size and margins. The optional Title becomes a heading at the top, the document title in Word’s properties and part of the file name.
- If your text was copied from a PDF or email with hard line breaks, tick Join lines into paragraphs.
- For Arabic, Persian or Hebrew, tick Right-to-left text. Then press Create & download DOCX.
About this tool
A .docx file is the standard Word format, and you can keep editing it afterwards in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice or Apple Pages. This tool puts your plain text into a clean document with your chosen font, size, margins and page size.
Unlike a PDF, a Word file keeps the text editable and supports every language, because Word picks the right font on your own computer. The right-to-left option sets the paragraph direction correctly for Arabic, Persian and Hebrew.
Frequently asked questions
Is my text uploaded to create the Word file?
No. The document is assembled in your browser and downloaded from there.
Does it work with Persian, Arabic and other languages?
Yes. All languages and emoji are stored in the file. Tick Right-to-left text for Arabic, Persian or Hebrew so the paragraphs are aligned and ordered correctly.
What does “Join lines into paragraphs” do?
Text copied from PDFs or emails often has a line break at the end of every line. With this option, single line breaks become spaces and only blank lines start a new paragraph.
Can I create the old .doc format?
No. The tool creates .docx, which every current version of Word and most other apps can open.
